When my Chow came down with something causing her hair to fall out the vet said she would be on an antibiotic and a steroid for the rest of her life. Of course I said no way! I took her off her normal dog food and changed her entire diet. She started out just on the Total Pet Nutrition Dog formula with some organic chicken stock for a base. Gradually we were able to introduce some elk meat and moved on eventually to a dry food that was fish based. Prior to the Total Pet Nutrition if we missed giving her one pill her eyebrows fell out and started to bleed. After being on the Total Pet Nutrition for 2 weeks we started tapering her off her pills and had no ill effects. What a huge relief. I could not see keeping her on meds for the rest of her life without handling whatever was making her sick.
